On Tuesday, August 25, 2009, the Wyoming Department of Corrections will be hosting a FREE training seminar on Prescription Drug Abuse. The training will be provided by Purdue Pharma L.P. and will cover such topics as “Lawful Prescribing and Prevention of Diversion,” “Abuse and Diversion of Controlled Substances,” “Pharmacy Safety and Security,” “Institutional Diversion,” discussions of major case investigations (the investigations of criminal prescribers), pharmacy scams and scams against physicians.
The training will be held at the UW Outreach Building in Casper, Wyoming (951 N. Poplar St.). Training will begin at 8:30 am and run to approximately 4:30 pm. There will be a one-hour break for lunch which is on your own.
Due to the sensitive nature of the information Purdue Pharma provides, this training is strictly limited to Law Enforcement personnel only.
Space is limited for this opportunity. There are some seats left and they will be assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis.
